10 Frequently Asked Questions

1. Isn’t it cheaper for me to go to a chain drugstore?

If you are a private pay customer, we are extremely competitive in our pricing. If you have insurance, the insurance dictates the CO-pay therefore you will pay the same amount wherever you go.

2. Why do my pills look different then the last time?

The appearances of drugs vary depending on which generic company has produced them. Therefore if a different company produced the medicine you previously had, it will most likely look different as well.

3. Are generic drugs equivalent to the brand names?

Generic drugs are A-B rated in comparison to the brand names. Also, because they are equal in quality and cost much less, they are usually preferred over the brand names.

4. How do I get more refills on my prescription?

In order to get more refills you must simply call your doctor and we will arrange to have your prescription refilled.

5. Is my purchase covered by my insurance?

Coverage depends on your insurance company and the product that you are buying. A prescription is always required in order to bill insurance companies. Please contact your insurance company to find out if your product is covered, and then contact us to find out if we accept that particular insurance. If we do not cover your insurance but your insurance will pay for your product, we will give you a receipt that will allow you to request reimbursement from your insurance company on your own. Otherwise we will take care of the billing to ensure you receive payment for your purchase from your insurance company.

6. Will Medicare pay for a bath bench?

No, Medicare does not pay for any safety equipment in the bathroom. Blue Cross does not cover bathroom safety products either, however, Medicaid will cover these items.

7. What is the best walker for my mother?

Walkers come in many different forms, with or without wheels, baskets and seats. The ideal way to determine your mother's need is to understand her lifestyle and her medical condition. The best way is to have her come in and try the different walkers and rollators (walker with four wheels)

8. Does my son, who plays soccer, need a brace?

That depends on his age and level of play. We sell simple ankle orthotics to bracing that is appropriate for the professional. FIT IS EVERYTHING. Therefore, proper sizing is essential for proper results. Let our fitters guide you through the maze of options.
